Yoga Therapy
Yoga Therapy uses the principles of yoga – an ancient Indian system of health dating back some 5,000 years – postures (asanas), breathing exercises (pranayama), relaxation techniques and meditation, to restore the body and mind to good health and correct the imbalances that cause disease. It is a holistic system of therapy that maintains, like Chinese medicine, that illness comes about in the body and mind, as a result of imbalances in the “life force” or prana. When the prana is manipulated through the use of yoga techniques and exercises, blockages are removed and good health and vitality are restored. Yoga Therapy uses the techniques of yoga, and tailors them to the individual and their particular condition.
